Joining Goseikan: Starting Kendo and Becoming a Member

Goseikan accepts new members year-round, and no prior martial arts experience is required. If you are interested in joining, read on. For more information, we also have an FAQs section, as well as information about Kendo available. 

Getting started with Goseikan Kendo

Starting Kendo is an exciting choice, and we want to make the beginning process easy and accessible. That’s why we’ve made this process easy to follow. 

      1. Get in touch: The first step to joining Goseikan is letting us know! Start by filling out the form below or emailing us directly (goseikankendo@gmail.com) and let us know what classes you’re interested in, and which dojo location you’re interested in practicing. 
      2. Set up a time to visit: Once you get in touch with us, we’ll work with you to schedule a time for you to visit the dojo. During this visit you will be able to watch how class is instructed, meet the head sensei, learn about the history of our dojo, and have any questions answered. 
      3. Sign up! We’ll go over everything you need to know, including what equipment you’ll need to order, what you should bring to your first few classes, as well dues and payment processes.

Goseikan Kendo Tuition and Dues

Adults Monthly Dues: $65, charged every month.

Kids Monthly Dues: $35, charged every month.

Family Monthly Dues (includes one Adult and one Kid): $80, charged every month.

Waivers and Enrollment Forms

You may either print out these forms and fill them out at home, or you may fill them out at the dojo. All members must sign a waiver in order to practice.
