Introducing Go Ryu Ki 2026

Goseikan Kendo is pleased to announce we will be hosting a new kendo event: Go Ryu Ki 剛龍旗. We are honored to invite kenshi of all levels to take part in this inaugural event.

Go Ryu Ki will take place May 20–24, 2026, in Chicago, IL. The week includes a multi-day Kenma Kai (May 20–23), followed by the Taikai (May 24). The tournament will be team-based only, with Adult, Women’s, and Youth divisions. Kenma Kai is included with tournament registration at no additional cost.

Registration is now open. The deadline is May 9 with early bird pricing through March 23. We encourage everyone interested to register early and consider volunteering as well. Details on the venue, full schedule, pricing, and banquet can be found on the event website.
